Here’s a statistic I bet you didn’t know: almost a quarter of American’s groceries get thrown away. And now that grocery prices are inflating and millions are being threatened by starvation and malnutrition around the globe (and even the country), it’s time to do something about it.
First of all, make a legit list of what you’re going to need before filling your cart. Think about the quantities of products you need realistically. Buy local and buy organic to make sure your produce is kept as fresh as possible.
Last, but not least, if you’re going to chuck out some of your groceries, make the effort to compost it.
